Living in New Jersey can give students many opportunities that other students do not have simply because of their location near New York City. Because of this, students really need to be on top of their games in order to be level with or ahead of the competition. Gaining a job in New York City is very possible for those in New Jersey who live close enough to commute. Also, companies may have a decent amount of employees who have already had the experience of the City so their expectations are higher.

Being so close to New York City is a great perk to living in New Jersey. There is a lot to do in NY that could make for some exciting trips, awesome weekday shopping, and fun weekends. What is great about NYC is that you don’t always need to know exactly where you are going. Sometimes walking around and figuring it out is half of the fun.

If you are from New Jersey or just going to school here, you have probably already found out that there is not too much to do outside of getting a cup of coffee and going shopping. Sometimes we need to look a little deeper to see what treasures we can find. We are very lucky considering we are neighbors with New York.
