Engineering is a growing industry in New Jersey. Many engineers, especially electrical engineers, are being asked to transfer in order to handle the workload of new buildings and the upgrade to digital technology for the older buildings. Some of the engineers being asked to transfer are fresh out of college in hopes they will take the PE exam and then the EIT exam, which is equivalent to a doctorate’s degree in that field.

Colleges in New Jersey such as Princeton, TCNJ, and Rutgers offer great classes in order to remain competitive. The professors have master’s degree or doctorate’s degrees. The reason the schools hire professors with such prestige is in order to make sure the students are getting the best education possible.

Connecticut has a lot of great schools to offer and it is very close to New Jersey, making it a great place for New Jersey Residents to attend while still being close to home. Some of the colleges in Connecticut are Yale University located in New Haven, University of Connecticut located in Storrs, and Wesleyan University located in Middletown.

The state of Maine offers about 20 schools for New Jersey students to choose from. Some of the colleges in Maine are Bowdoin College located in Brunswick, and Bates College located in Lewiston. Some universities are The University of Maine located in Orono, and University of Maine System located in Bangor. The specialized school is Maine College of Art located in Portland. These are only a small amount of the colleges offered in Maine.
