If you already live in New Jersey you are aware of the immense amount of money it costs just to live here. Imagine being a college student trying to survive in this money-hungry state. Students have to learn how to be creative in order to make their dollars go further, but after a while it can become annoying and ideas are not so quick to come.

It is such a great feeling when you know you are going to college to further your education and make something of yourself. This is usually thought to lead to a decent paying job along with a nice future. But what happens when the majority of New Jersey students who are graduating are already burdened with student loans? Student loans are a form of debt and by the time you are done paying them off you have likely paid more than your education was worth. How are New Jersey students supposed to get ahead when they start out so far behind?

One of the biggest issues for college students is saving money. Sometimes the issue isn’t even saving money; it’s having enough money in general to pay for what they need. What makes this tricky is the limited time available for students to work so the ability to bring in more money is usually not an option.

College-aged students have a lot at their fingertips when it comes to activities. We have something called “Weird New Jersey” that can be accessed through a magazine or Internet. It tells you interesting stories about places in New Jersey. Many road trips and fun adventures can begin when planning a “Weird New Jersey” trip. If that doesn’t tickle your fancy take a look at all the malls around you. North Jersey has too many for its own good, but each mall offers something different.

Students today are much more tech savvy than ten or twenty years ago. Students now need these resources to stay connected in the “now” world we live in. Without connection to other students, professors, bosses, news, etc, our world and successes would crumble at our fingertips; literally.
