The reason is the state is so close to New York City and the companies there are very competitive and only want the best. The best does not come out of high school but rather many years of hard work at college.

Connecticut has a lot of great schools to offer and it is very close to New Jersey, making it a great place for New Jersey Residents to attend while still being close to home. Some of the colleges in Connecticut are Yale University located in New Haven, University of Connecticut located in Storrs, and Wesleyan University located in Middletown.
